Ceren Ekinci

Ceren Ekinci Antalya (TR) 1985: She began her architectural education in Turkey, subsequently continuing it in Europe, and shaped her career through international projects she conducted in various countries. In 2013, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Süleyman Demirel University.

During her studies, she attended Yıldız Technical University under the Farabi Exchange Program in 2010-2011, and in the 2011-2012 period, she studied at the University of L’Aquila in Italy through the Erasmus Program. This experience provided her with an early opportunity to engage with European architectural culture.

Following her graduation, she participated in numerous prestigious projects between Istanbul and Italy. In 2016, she commenced a Master’s program at Sapienza University of Rome focusing on the “Conservation and Reuse of Historic Buildings and Public Spaces.” During these years, she also specialized in hotel and hospital projects.

After deciding to move to Italy, she completed her second master’s degree in “Culture del Progetto” (Cultures of Design) at IUAV University in Venice. In this period, she began her doctoral studies and also obtained her official professional title by passing the architectural licensing exam in Italy.

Finally, in 2024, she completed her PhD at the University of L’Aquila. Her doctoral research, supported by a European Union-funded project, focused on smart steel cables.

Today, she continues to live in Rome. Thanks to international collaborations, my academic background, and my extensive professional network, I am pursuing my architectural projects with a multidisciplinary approach. Her areas of interest include architecture, intercultural dialogue, sustainability, and transformation projects in the field of tourism.
